By accessing or using DocPal ("the Service"), including via WhatsApp, SMS, or our web dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocPal is an AI-powered health guidance tool that provides preliminary health information and symptom triage via WhatsApp and SMS. Our service includes:

  • AI-generated health guidance based on symptoms you describe
  • Symptom triage and categorization
  • Multilingual support (English and Hindi)
  • Review of AI-generated guidance by licensed healthcare providers

3. Not Medical Advice

DocPal is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided by DocPal is for general informational purposes only. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Do not rely on DocPal for emergency medical situations.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use DocPal. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. Parents or guardians may use DocPal to seek guidance regarding their children, but they assume full responsibility for any actions taken based on the information provided.

5. User Responsibilities

When using DocPal, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about symptoms and health concerns
  • Not use the Service for emergency medical situations
  • Not use the Service to obtain prescriptions or specific medication recommendations
  • Not misuse, abuse, or attempt to manipulate the AI system
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. AI-Generated Content

DocPal uses artificial intelligence to generate health guidance. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or may not account for all individual health factors. All AI-generated guidance is subject to review by licensed healthcare providers, but this review does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship.

7. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of DocPal does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and DocPal, its operators, or the healthcare providers who review AI-generated content. The Service is a health information tool, not a medical practice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocPal and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of health outcomes, data, or other intangible losses.

DocPal is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of DocPal and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Third-Party Services

DocPal operates through third-party messaging platforms (WhatsApp, SMS). Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. DocPal is not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
